On Site Massage
There’s no special requirements in order to benefit from on site massage therapy and many of the health benefits such as the ability to relieve work related stress are widely known.
So, what exactly is on site massage?
Based on a form of Japanese acupressure on site massage comprises a series of gentle manipulations and pressure point techniques which incorporate the head, neck, shoulders and upper back to energise, invigorate and revitalise.
A combination of both traditional therapeutic massage and seated acupressure techniques can be used with over 60 acupressure points being worked on in a typical massage. Before any treatment is given your therapist will ask several health questions to ensure that the treatment is suitable.
How long do the massages last?
The chair massage treatments can range from 5 – 20 minutes in duration and the more people there are the shorter the massages tend to be. For example a small office of 20 people would often have 15 or 20 minute massages whereas a call centre with 500 employees would tend to have just 5 or 10 minute treatments.
Do I need to get undressed?
This massage is performed whilst the client sits fully clothed and is excellent for clearing the mind and relaxing the body. To ensure that there is no damage to clothing no oils are typically used during on site massage therapy treatments.
Should I do anything different after the massage?
It is recommended to drink plenty of water after the treatment to replace lost fluids and avoid dehydration. This will help eliminate the toxins from your body. Avoiding alcohol, smoking and excessive tea or coffee drinking is also recommended as these can have a dehydrating effect.
Where do the massages take place?
Seated acupressure treatments will usually take place either at people’s desks or in a designated meeting room.
As your mobile masseuse will bring everything needed to deliver a stress busting treatment on site massage is also ideal for events with large numbers of people such as tradeshows and exhibitions.
How often should the visits take place?
Just like with exercise, in order to experience the full benefits on site massage can provide visits ideally need to occur on a regular basis for example weekly, fortnightly or monthly. However, even quarterly visits can have a significant impact on corporate wellness and will demonstrate to your employees a commitment to their health and wellbeing.
Are there discounts for regular visits?
Yes indeed! The more frequent the visits the larger the discount is automatically applied to your booking making our therapeutic services extremely cost effective….
